Course Description
This is a course for ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS and anyone who has started lessons recently, but finds note reading too daunting. This course will get you playing music on the piano quickly, so that your hands can make sense of the keyboard. Students who complete this course find it easier to continue onto more intermediate concepts.
If you already have some basic knowledge of chord playing and reading lead sheets, this is not the course for you. This course is designed for absolute beginners.
In this course, you will learn:
- How to create Major and Minor Chords
- How to create Dominant 7th chords
- Making transitions between chords
- How to read a lead sheet
- How to play one complete song. In fact, rather than teaching you chords and expecting you to memorize them, I will teach you the chords you need to know to play a complete song.
- A companion EBook for the course, so that you can easily practice what you've learned.
- How to play inverted chords
- Song form
- Practice tips

Read MoreI have some time before I can play it fully , but coming to your site by pure acccident was such a gift. I never played the piano before but the idea has been haunting me for many years. I took out this tiny little keyboard that I had bought for my kids many years ago and starting learning the chords you for section A. The sound wasn't quite right so I knew I had to invest in a real keyboard for me to be motivated and actually hear the sounds correctly. So I did. I must tell you that you are an amazing teacher. You understand that we are just beginning and you guide us every step of the way. I thank you for that. My life has changed because in March because of COVID and also because I broke my knee cap. Before that time I was still teaching math. I am still mending and am not going back. At 72 years of age I need to call it a day. I always find things to keep me active and proficient but I felt this was the time to finally play the piano. It very challenging and I can see will eventually be something to treasure. But Thank you for inspiring me the way you have. I just wanted to let you know.
